Anthony Mechanical Services' Midland, Texas, Office Receives ABM Franchising Group's Highest Honor
Anthony Mechanical Services, Inc., a leading provider of HVAC solutions throughout northwest and central Texas, was named Linc Service's 2018 Contractor of the Year for 2018 during ABM Franchising Group's 2019 Continuing Education Conference held February 7-9 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The award was presented to Anthony Mechanical Services' Midland, Texas, office, which also includes the company's Abilene and San Angelo, Texas operations. Anthony Mechanical Services became a Linc Service franchise in 1982. The company currently operates out of Lubbock, Midland, Abilene and San Angelo, Texas.
The award is presented annually by ABM Franchising Group to the contractor who displays the most outstanding organizational performance in the categories of activity growth, sales performance, gross and operating profit, maintenance base growth and implementation of the Linc Service system. There are currently 165 Linc Service franchises globally, with only one receiving this award every year.
"We've had a successful business in our Midland office for several years, but our Linc Area Vice President, Carlos Lozano, challenged our team three years ago to find three things we could do different to become Contractor of the Year," said John Anthony, President of Anthony Mechanical Services. "In 2018, everything came together in sales, operations and Linc Service system utilization."
The award marks the second time an Anthony Mechanical Services office has won the award – which is regarded as ABM Franchising Group's most prestigious. Anthony Mechanical Services' Lubbock office previously received the award in 1996.
Anthony Mechanical, Inc. was founded in 1924 as Anthony Plumbing in Lubbock. While in the beginning the company focused mainly on plumbing services, the company shifted focus to residential HVAC systems during the advent of natural gas fueled floor furnaces in the 1940s.
As the modernization of heating and cooling systems continued, the business was renamed Anthony Mechanical in 1967. It would expand further in the late 1970s, as it acquired Roundtree Company and a portion of O.W. Chisum Company, which focused on water and sewage treatment, and other utilities-based projects.
Anthony Mechanical Services, Inc. formed in 1982, when the company became a Linc Service franchise. The company focuses on providing quality HVAC service preventive maintenance solutions.
"Anthony Mechanical Services' implementation of the Linc Service System is very evident, and we would discuss this every month," said Linc Service Area Vice President Carlos Lozano. "This monthly look into their business allowed them to be immediately proactive to making changes, versus reacting. They were able to adapt to the changing landscape of opportunities, and drive expectations from everyone on their team. This award is the culmination of many years of hard work by every individual in this organization."
