Continuing to deliver electrical safety training to technicians facing hazards in the workplace, Empower Training Services recently earned a 100% rating of “Definitely exceeded expectations” for their seminar for Campbell Soup Supply Company employees.
Most participants were not electricians, but employees who work around electrical hazards. As one participant noted: “I’m a welder, pipefitter, and mechanic. I have done very little electrical work. I had no idea how violent the electrical work can be. I would like to thank you all once again!”
Taught by Vice President of Technical Training & Support Joe Gierlach, each 8-hour day covered vital safety content including electrically safe work practices as outlined by NFPA 70E, the Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
Empower Training Services has expanded class offerings to ensure that technicians who may not be aware of electrical hazards in the workplace receive the electrical safety training they need, such as HVAC technicians, mechanics, and maintenance staff. Their schedule for November 2022 also included seminars for Linc Contractor Superior Mechanical and for Ahlstrom-Munksjö, a global leader in fiber-based materials. The Empower Training Services team will also attend the Vendor Showcase for the 2023 Continuing Education Conference to answer questions about safety training needs, and the instructors are featured in sessions throughout.
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) states that employees working around energized equipment require training in safe work practices. Linc Service and TEGG contractors can contact
Empower Training Services to discuss offering on-site safety trainings for their clients and customers.
