ABM Franchising Group, LLC, a subsidiary of ABM (NYSE:ABM), a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, recently held its annual Continuing Education Conference at the Westin Galleria and Westin Oaks in Houston, Texas, January 31 – February 2, 2013. The 2013 conference honored more than 100 franchises within ABM Franchising Group for their achievements in 2012.
ABM Franchising Group, a portfolio of franchise networks that deliver mechanical and electrical service and preventive maintenance solutions to commercial, industrial, and residential buildings, consists of four franchise brands: Linc Service, GreenHomes America, TEGG, and CurrentSAFE. While Linc Service has been holding the annual Continuing Education Conference for almost three decades, this year’s conference provided the first opportunity for the newly formed ABM Franchising Group to collaborate and share best practices.
Designed around the theme, The Power of One Team, this year’s conference pulled in over 1,000 attendees from 200 locations across the country and around the world. Awards were presented to the top contractors and employees who exceeded exceptions and demonstrated unparalleled excellence, as well as the top sales professionals who showcased exemplary talents through their noted sales successes.
Taking place in conjunction with the conference was the 2013 Vendor Showcase. This year’s Vendor Showcase featured 50 vendors, the largest collection of industry leading service and supply vendors yet. The vendors ranged from electrical testing providers and equipment rental companies to HVAC control providers and fleet vehicle dealers, including Signature sponsors: ALL-TEST Pro, LLC., intellirent, and UE Systems, Inc.
In addition to honoring many individuals and franchise locations with well-deserved awards and recognition, the conference also provided attendees with the opportunity to participate in a number of educational and informative sessions including roundtables geared towards their specific job categories. One of the highlights of the conference was the inspiring real life story of "The Rookie", Jim Morris, the 35 year old high school baseball coach turned professional baseball player. Through his message of chasing dreams and keeping promises, Jim inspired and motivated conference attendees to continue to reach for their goals.
"We are committed to bringing continued growth and success to our contractors through the implementation of our franchise system," said Bert Kendall, Chief Operating Officer of ABM Franchising Group. "Our annual conference provides us with a forum to share best practices and recognize outstanding achievements within our network. By joining forces for the first time as ABM Franchising Group, this year’s conference gave our contractors an opportunity to collaborate and combine strengths to achieve even greater success through The Power of One Team."
