ABM Franchising Group, LLC, a subsidiary of ABM Industries Incorporated (NYSE:ABM), a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, recently held its annual Continuing Education Conference at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia, January 22 – January 24, 2015. The 2015 conference honored more than 300 mechanical and electrical contractors from over 150 franchises within ABM Franchising Group for their achievements in 2014.

ABM Franchising Group, a portfolio of franchise networks that deliver mechanical and electrical service and preventive maintenance solutions to commercial, industrial, and residential buildings, consists of four franchise brands: Linc Service, GreenHomes America, TEGG, and CurrentSAFE. The 2015 Continuing Education Conference brought together the commercial contractors from two of the four franchise brands, Linc Service and TEGG, encouraging collaboration and a sharing of best practices.

Designed around the tagline, Network of Champions, and theme, Hall of Fame, this year’s conference drew an estimated attendance of over 1,000 from 200 locations across the country and around the world. Awards were presented to the top contractors and employees who exceeded expectations and demonstrated unparalleled excellence, as well as the top sales professionals who showcased exemplary talents through their noted sales successes.

Taking place in conjunction with the conference was the 2015 Vendor Showcase, providing attendees the opportunity to interact with a variety of leading vendors in their industry. This year’s Vendor Showcase featured over 60 vendors, with companies ranging from mission critical service providers and equipment rental companies to HVAC control and electrical testing providers and fleet vehicle dealers, including signature sponsor Mitsubishi Electric.

In addition to honoring many individuals and franchise locations with well-deserved awards and recognition, the conference also provided attendees with the opportunity to participate in a number of educational and informative sessions including roundtables geared towards their specific roles. The sessions concluded on Saturday with the motivating story of Roger Crawford, an inductee of The International Tennis Hall of Fame. Although born with ectrodactylism, a rare birth defect, Roger became the only athlete with four impaired limbs to compete in a NCAA Division I sport.

“Our annual Continuing Education Conference provides contractors within our network the opportunity to come together and discover ways to grow their businesses and collaborate with one another,” said Bert Kendall, Chief Operating Officer of ABM Franchising Group. “The award recipients of Linc Service, TEGG and our company owned ABM locations represent a Network of Champions.”
