Linc Service contractor Hays Service successfully collected over 11,000 food items in support of BackPack Ministries mission to provide food for schoolchildren in need. Hays Service employees organized the drive for a third year in a row and redoubled their efforts, beating last year’s count of over 5,000 food items by a healthy margin.
“Making sure this food drive is a success every year is the most important and rewarding job that I have at Hays, hands down,” said Alyssa Mathews, Service Coordinator at Hays Service,
in her post here. “We are truly blessed with an amazing group and community and could not be more thankful!”
The project has grown to help children in 24 schools across 3 counties, supplying children with weekly packages of kid-friendly food they can take home. You can see more about the BackPack Ministry on
